Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 3 boiled raw banana
  2. 2 boiled potato
  3. 1 inch chopped ginger
  4. 10 - 12 garlic cloves
  5. 3 chopped onion
  6. 3 tbsp gram flour
  7. 1 cup tomato puree
  8. 2 pinch asafoetida
  9. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  10. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  11. 1 tsp coriander powder
  12. 2 chopped green chilli
  13. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  14. ½ tsp garam masala
  15. 1 tsp salt
  16. 4 tbsp fresh cream
  17. 2 tsp Spring onion for garnish
  18. 2 tsp coriander leaves for garnish
  19. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Collect all ingredients.
  2. Grate the boiled bananas.
  3. Add grated boiled potato.
  4. Add chopped onion, green chilli, gram flour, turmeric powder, salt and ginger garlic paste. Mix properly.
  5. Make a small balls of prepared paste.
  6. Turn on the flame. In a pan add oil and heat it.
  7. Now put the kofta into the hot oil.
  8. Fry kofta on low flame and flip it in between, fry it till it turns golden brown.
  9. Take out on the napkin to absorb extra oil.
  10. For gravy - Turn on the flame and heat frying pan.
  11. Add 2 tbsp oil and heat it
  12. Add garlic cloves and chopped ginger.
  13. Fry it for 30 second.
  14. Add chopped onion. fry it on medium heat for 3 - 4 minutes.
  15. When the onions turns light brown turn off the heat and let it cool down.
  16. Put it into the blending jar and blend it into thick paste.
  17. Blended masala is ready.
  18. In another pan add oil heat it.
  19. Add asafoetida, red chilli powder, turmeric powder mix well.
  20. Add the blended masala paste.
  21. Fry it for 4 - 5 minutes on medium flame.
  22. Add coriander powder mix it.
  23. Fry the masala until the oil get separated from the masala.
  24. Add tomato puree and mix it.
  25. Cook the masala for another 2 - 3 minutes.
  26. Add a glass of water and stir it. Let it boil.
  27. Add salt to taste stir it and boil it.
  28. Add garam masala powder. Simmer the heat and boil it for 3 - 4 minutes.
  29. Add fresh cream and stir properly. Turn off the heat.
  30. Add fried kofta in the gravy one by one.
  31. Stir it.
  32. Garnish with spring onion, coriander leaves and fresh cream.
  33. Banana kofta curry is ready.
