Sprouts curry / dalbi is a very famous konkani dish.

Sprouts curry/Dalbi

Ingredients to make Sprouts curry/Dalbi

  • White Beans Sprouts - 150grams
  • onion - 1
  • tomato - 1
  • curry leaves - handful
  • salt - as per taste
  • cilantro - For garnishing
  • water - 2& 1/2cups or as required
  • oil - 2tablespoon
  • FOR masala
  • coconut - 1/2cup grated
  • Dry Red chillie - 1
  • Corrainder seeds - 1tablespoon
  • cumin seeds - 1tablespoon
  • fennel seeds - 1/2tablespoon
  • poppy seeds - 1/4tablespoon
  • cloves - 2or 3
  • Black pepper - 2or 3
  • Cinamon - Small piece
  • turmeric powder -1/2tablepsoon
  • Red chillie powder - 1tablespoon

How to make Sprouts curry/Dalbi

  1. 1- In a pan add oil add onion and curry leaves saute it well for 5-6mins.
  2. 2- Add tomato mix it well untill the tomato gets soft.
  3. 3- In a pan roast all the masala ingredients after that grind it to a smooth paste add little water.
  4. 4- Put the masala in the saute tomato and onion mix it well.
  5. 5- Than add the sprouts mix well add water and cook for about 25-30mins.
  6. 6- Garnish with some cilantro ready to serve.
