Mutton gravy

Ingredients to make Mutton gravy

  • Mutton : ½ kg
  • Gingelly oil : 4 tsp
  • salt
  • Small onion : 15
  • tomato : 1
  • fennel seeds : 1/2 tsp
  • cinnamon and cardamom, kalpasi, kasakasa, bay leaf, cloves
  • ginger garlic paste  : 1 tsp
  • Garam masala : ½ tsp
  • Chilli powder and coriander powder : 1 tsp each
  • turmeric powder : ½ tsp
  • Grated coconut : 3 tsp  

How to make Mutton gravy

  1. Keep the meat out of the fridge at least 30 mins before cooking. .
  2. Cook the mutton 10 min with turmeric and black pepper and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, saute fennel seeds, onion, tomato for 2 mins.
  4. Add (dry roast -- cinnamon and cardamom, kalpasi,kasakasa) powder, bay leaf, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, chilli powder, coriander powder and cooked mutton.
  5. Cook covered for 15 mins.
  6. Add coconut paste, curry leaves, coriander and cook for 2 mins
