Moong dal sambar

Ingredients to make Moong dal sambar

  • moong dal : 2 cup
  • carrot : 1
  • tomato : 1
  • potato : 2
  • Beans : 4
  • chilli : 2
  • salt
  • turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
  • Sambar powder : 2 tsp
  • shallots : 5
  • garlic ; 5
  • salt
  • oil
  • curry leaves
  • Cummin powder : 1/2 tsp
  • tamarind : small size
  • coriander leaves
  • mustard seeds : 1/2 tsp
  • fenugreek : 1/2 tsp
  • Asafodita

How to make Moong dal sambar

  1. In a pressure cooker add Moong dal, chopped veg carrot, tomato, garlic,potato, beans, shallots, fenugreek required water and cook for 10 min on medium flame
  2. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, curry leaves and cooked dal and cook for 2 min
  3. Add turmeric powder, cummin powder, salt, Sambar powder and cook for 5 min
  4. Add tamarind water, coriander leaves, pinch of asafodita and switch off the flame
