this is the sabzi made of fresh methi paneer and malai ,gravy of Sabzi is made up of cashewnuts and malai this is the best combination with parathas, Roti naans and puris.

Ingredients to make methi paneer malai

  • 200 gms paneer/cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup of cashewnuts paste
  • 2onions finely chopped
  • 1 green chili crushed
  • 5-6 garlic pods crushed
  • little piece of ginger grated
  • 1/2 cup of malai
  • 2 cups of methi/finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1tsp of ghee
  • 1tsp of oil
  • 1tsp aamchur powder
  • 1/2 cup of milk

How to make methi paneer malai

  1. in a deep pan add ghee and oil
  2. add 1/2 tsp of cummin seeds
  3. add crushed green chili
  4. add crushed garlic
  5. add grated ginger
  6. add chopped onions
  7. let them turn golden
  8. now add cashewnuts paste
  9. add malai
  10. add milk
  11. cook for 2-3 minutes
  12. add methi/fenugreek leaves
  13. cover the vessel and cook for 5-7 minutes
  14. add aamchur powder
  15. add paneer cubes/cottage cheese
  16. add salt to taste
  17. serve with chappatis or parathas

My Tip:

For cashewnuts paste soak them for 30 35 minutes in hot water and grind them to paste Add paneer cubes while serving
