ABOUT Raddish kofta curry RECIPE

It is a very tasty and crunchy kofta curry. Tastes different from other type of koftas. You can eat it with chapati or with rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For koftas:
  2. Raddish 3 grated
  3. Raddish leaves 4 tablespoon chopped
  4. Chickpea flour 1/2 cup
  5. Rice flour 3 tablespoon
  6. Salt 1 tablespoon
  7. Carrom seeds 1 teaspoon
  8. Kasoori methi 1 teaspoon
  9. Green chilli 1 chopped
  10. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  11. Coriander seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  12. Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  13. Coriander leaves
  14. Oil for frying
  15. For gravy:
  16. Onion 1 chopped
  17. Ginger 2 tablespoon chopped
  18. Garlic 2 tablespoon chopped
  19. Tomato 2 large chopped
  20. Cloves 2
  21. Cumin seeds 1 tablespoon
  22. Green caradamom 2
  23. Salt to taste
  24. Red chili powder 1 tablespoon
  25. Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  26. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  27. Cashew paste 2 tablespoon
  28. Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  29. Kasoori methi 1 teaspoon
  30. Oil 2 tablespoon
  31. Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Add salt to grated raddish and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  2. After 10 minutes squeeze the raddish and mix all other ingredients and make a dough.
  3. Now heat oil and make koftas from this mixture.
  4. Fry these in hot oil on medium high flame.
  5. Fry it from both sides.
  6. Remove it from oil.
  7. Now start making curry heat oil in a wok. Add cumin, green caradamom,and cloves. make a puree of onion, ginger and garlic. Add it to oil.
  8. Saute it till it starts leaving oil. Make puree of tomatoes. Add to wok and saute till oil seprates from it.
  9. When oil seprates add salt, red chili powder ,. Coriander powder, turmeric powder and mix well. Add cashew paste and saute for 2 minutes.
  10. Add 3 cups water and mix well.
  11. Cook for 10 mintues on low flame. After 10 minutes add garam masala, kasoori methi and coriander leaves. Add koftas to it and serve hot with chapati or parantha.
