Prawn masal

Ingredients to make Prawn masal

  • Prawn : ¼ kg
  • salt
  • curry leaves
  • Sesame oil : 3 tsp
  • mustard seeds : ½ tsp
  • Small onion : 5
  • garlic : 10
  • tomato : 1
  • Green chilli : 2
  • turmeric powder : ½ tsp
  • chilli powder : 1 tsp
  • coriander powder : 1 tsp
  • For coconut paste :
  • Grated coconut : 5 tsp
  • fennel seeds : 1 tsp

How to make Prawn masal

  1. Wash  and clean the prawns and crush  the garlic keep aside
  2. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seed, curry leaves, small onion, tomato and crushed garlic and saute for 2 min
  3. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and cook for 1 min
  4. Add prawn and required water and cook for 10 - 15 min on medium flame
  5. Add coconut paste and cook for 5 more min. Add coriander leaves
