About Pumpkin kheer Recipe

This kheer is rich,creamy and delicious and it makes a wonderful desert.

Pumpkin kheer

Ingredients to make Pumpkin kheer

  • Yellow pumpkin piece -400 gm
  • Thick milk -2 cups
  • Milk maid -2 -3 tbsp
  • sugar -4 - 6 tbsp
  • Chopped nuts - almond,pistachio & cashew nuts each 1 tbsp
  • ghee -1 tbsp
  • salt - pinch.

How to make Pumpkin kheer

  1. Remove skin, wash ,cut into pieces and add 1/2 cup water, pinch salt, pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  2. Cool it and paste the cooked pumpkin pieces with sugar in a food processor.
  3. Heat ghee roast all chopped nuts till golden colour.
  4. Add the pumpkin paste.then add 2 cups of milk,allow it to boil.
  5. Finally add milk maid and mix well.
  6. Delicious pumpkin kheer is ready to taste.
  7. Serve warm or chilled.

My Tip:

You can skip milk and add a tin of milk maid also.
