ABOUT Motichur ladoo RECIPE

No added colour, made of besan or gram flour,less sugar, kids favourite.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For boondi: 2 cup besan or gram flour
  2. One and half cup water
  3. Pinch of haldi( turmeric powder)
  4. One tsp refined oil
  5. Oil or ghee for frying
  6. For syrup: one and half cup sugar
  7. One cup water
  8. One green cardamom
  9. One or two drop of lemon juice

Instructions

  1. MiX besan, water, haldi, one tsp oil Keep it side for 20 min.
  2. Mean while make one thread consistency sugar syrup by boiling all the ingredients of syrup.
  3. After 20 min if besan batter is thick then add little water, it should be of runny consistency but not too thin.
  4. Heat oil or ghee in pan.
  5. With help of spoon drop a drop of batter in oil if it comes up means oil is hot.
  6. Keep flame between high and medium.
  7. Then take a jharna ( in Hindi) or ladle with big or small holes that is used in frying. Keep it above pan in your left hand and with right hand pour little batter on jharna but keep on moving jharna up and down with left hand.
  8. Don't worry if at centre boondi is not formed and batter gets together.
  9. Note:as boondi falls in oil just fry it for 30 sec to less than a minute.otherwise it will get crispy
  10. Take out boondi. Put it in hot sugar syrup immediately.
  11. Keep it in syrup for 45 min. After 45 min.if you get them little bit crisp. Put few drops of hot water give one pulse in mixer but not more. If they were fine mix them with hand
  12. Take out in plate add half tsp char magaz
  13. With the help of little oil in hand Shape them in LADOO put one magaz on each.
  14. They will be soft and gooey in look Leave it for 8-9 hours They will get firm in shape. Enjoy
