About Homemade Bourbon Biscuits Recipe

The Bourbon biscuit  sometimes referred to as a Bourbon cream is a sandwich style biscuit consisting of two thin rectangular dark chocolate–flavoured biscuits with a chocolate buttercream filling.

Ingredients to make Homemade Bourbon Biscuits

  • 100 gm all purpose flour
  • 5 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/4 Tsp baking soda
  • 50 gm softened butter
  • 4-5 tbsp Milk for kneading
  • FOR CHOCOLATE FILLING:
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp milk

How to make Homemade Bourbon Biscuits

  1. SIEVE THE 100 GM REFINED FLOUR, 1/2 TSP BAKING POWDER, 1/4 TSP BAKING SODA
  2. AND 4 TBSP COCOA POWDER, AND KEEP ASIDE
  3. IN 50 GM OF BUTTER ADD 50 GM OF POWDER SUGAR AND BEAT TILL CREAMY
  4. ADD 1 TSP VANILLA ESSENCE, 1 TSP HONEY AND BEAT TILL COMBINED
  5. ADD FLOUR MIXTURE
  6. MAKE THE DOUGH WITH REQUIRED MILK
  7. CLING WRAP THE DOUGH BALL AND REFRIGERATE FOR 30 MINS.
  8. ROLL OUT THE DOUGH BALL INTO A ROUGH SHAPE WITH A THICKNESS APPROX 1 MM.
  9. CUT INTO 1×2.5" SIZE AND MAKE HOLES WITH THE TOOTHPICK
  10. TRANSFER ON A LINED BAKING TRAY
  11. SPRINKLE SOME SUGAR ON TOP
  12. BAKE FOR 10 MINUTES AT 150° C IN PREHEATED OVEN
  13. TAKE THEM OUT AND LET IT COOL ON WIRE RACK
  14. FOR FILLING- TAKE 1/2 CUP POWDERED SUGAR, 2 TBSP COCOA POWDER & 2 TBSP SOFT BUTTER
  15. ADD 1 TSP MILK AND BEAT TILL COMBINED
  16. TRANSFER IT TO A PIPING BAG
  17. SPREAD THE FILLING ON BOTTOM SIDE OF BISCUIT AND PLACE ANOTHER BISCUIT, BOTTOM SIDE OVER THE CREAM.
