Homemade biryani masala gives an awesome taste to your biryani.

Biryani masala

Ingredients to make Biryani masala

  • Dry red chillies 5
  • Bayleaves 3
  • coriander seeds 3 tbsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • caraway seeds/shahjeera 1 tbsp
  • cinnamon 2 sticks
  • Mace/javitri 4
  • cloves 1 tsp
  • Black cardamom 3
  • star anise 2
  • Black pepper 1 tbsp
  • Green cardamom 8
  • fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • nutmeg 1/2
  • turmeric 1 tsp

How to make Biryani masala

  1. Take a pan and dry roast all the spices one by one taking care not to change colour.
  2. Remove all in a plate to cool.
  3. Grind in mixer and sieve.Fill in airtight container.
  4. Use when required.

You can use in any biryani.I make vegetable biryani as we don't eat non veg :blush:
