About Matcha Muffin (Green Tea) Recipe

A lot of my friends use the green tea powder and I decided to finally try out a recipe.

Matcha Muffin (Green Tea)

Ingredients to make Matcha Muffin (Green Tea)

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp green tea powder (Matcha)
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 2 eggs

How to make Matcha Muffin (Green Tea)

  1. Pre heat the oven at 175 degree centigrade.
  2. Sift together the flour, baking soda and green tea powder and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter until light. Add the sugar, eggs and beat well till more light and fluffy. Add in the dry mixture and the milk.
  4. Stir with a spatula until the dry ingredients are well incorporated (do not over mix). The batter will be a little lumpy.
  5. Divide the batter among the muffin moulds, line the tin and fill the batter upto 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow to cool on a wire rack.

My Tip:

Use a good quality green tea powder.
