Prawn thokku

Ingredients to make Prawn thokku

  • Prawns - 100 grams
  • onion - 3
  • tomato - 2
  • Green chilli - 2
  • Biryani leaf - 1 (optional)
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • chillipowder - 2 teaspoon
  • cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • oil - 2 tablespoons
  • salt - to taste

How to make Prawn thokku

  1. Heat oil in a kadaai and add biriyani leaf
  2. Then add onion and green chillies and saute well
  3. Once the onion turns into golden brown then add ginger garlic paste and saute well untill the raw smell goes
  4. Then add finely chopped tomatoes and saute well untill it becomes mashy
  5. Then add chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and needed salt and mix well
  6. Keep it in low flame for 2 minutes untill the oil oozes out
  7. Then add prawns and mix well gently. Add 1/2 cup of water and mix well
  8. Keep it in low flame allow the prawns to cook well
  9. Once the prawn is cooked well switch off the flame and serve hot....
