Ingredients to make Finger Millet Halwa

  • Finger millet / Ragi millet - 1 cup
  • Jeggery syrup - 200 ml
  • ghee - 3 Teaspoon
  • Few cashews

How to make Finger Millet Halwa

  1. TAKE A 1 CUP WHOLE FINGER MILLET AND SOKE FOR 8 HOURS
  2. PUT THE WASHED FINGER MILLET IN TO THE MIXTURE JAR AND BLENDWELL
  3. DRAIN THE MIXTURE
  4. SQUEEZE THE FINGER MILLET MEAL AND DRAIN
  5. CLOSE AND KEEP ASIDE THE FINGER MILLET MILK FOR 5-6 HOURS
  6. AFTER 6 HOURS REMOVE THE TOP LAYER OF WATER
  7. THICK FINGER MILK
  8. HEAT A PAN ADD GHEE
  9. ADD SOME CASHWES
  10. ADD SOME WATER TO FINGER MILLET MILK AND MIX WELL
  11. POUR THE FINGER MILLET MILK INTO PAN
  12. STIR CONTINOUSLY UNTIL LUMPPFREE
  13. ADD 200 ML OF JAGGERY SYRUP
  14. MIX WELL UNTIL SMOOTH
  15. COOK FOR 10 MINUTES IN LOW FLAME
  16. MIX WELL
  17. THIS IS A HALWA CONSISTENCY NONSTICKY MIXTURE, SWITCH OFF THE FLAME
  18. GRESS THE TRAY AND TRANSFER THE HALWA
  19. LEVEL THE HALWA AND KEEP ASIDE (15 MINUTES)
  20. AFTER 15 MINUTES DEMOLD THE HALWA IN TO A PLATE
  21. ARRANGE THE ROSTED CASHEWS
  22. CUT THE HALWA PIECES IN A SQUARE SHAPE
  23. TRANSFER THE PLATE
  24. HEALTHY AND TASTY IRON RICH FINGER MILLET HALWA IS READY TO SERVE
