BALUSHAI

Ingredients to make BALUSHAI

  • all purpose flour / maida - one and half cup
  • clarified butter / ghee - 2 tbsp
  • curd - 2 tbsp
  • Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • water - 2 tbsp
  • For sugar syrup sugar - 1/2 cup
  • water - 1/4 cup
  • cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  • lemon juice - 1tsp

How to make BALUSHAI

  1. In a mixing bowl add all purpose flour / maida,curd,clarified butter , baking powder and add little amoun of water to make a dough.
  2. Keep aside for two hours.
  3. Make a small size balls
  4. Shape each ball to flat patties of medium thickness
  5. Make a small indent with your thumb in the centre.
  6. Now heat oil in a pan.
  7. The oil should be hot,switch off the gas.
  8. Dip the balushai ball in the oil but the flame must be low.
  9. After the color become brown from both the side strain it.
  10. Now make the sugar syrup with sugar water and cardamom powder.
  11. In another pan add sugar ,water and cardamom powder till sugar disolves.
  12. Bring into one string consistency add the lemon juice and mix well
  13. Add the balushai in the sugar syrup.
  14. When the sugar syrup will absorb in the fried balushai take it in the plate.
