Salted caramel sauce

Ingredients to make Salted caramel sauce

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup amul fresh cream
  • 3 teaspoons of sea salt/mota namak

How to make Salted caramel sauce

  1. In a non-stick pan, heat sugar over medium high heat, stirring often.
  2. The sugar will soon start to melt, use whisk to get rid of the clumps. It will turn a beautiful amber color.
  3. Once sugar has melted, carefully add the butter. The mixture will splatter a bit. Continue stirring until all the butter has melted. It will turn a nice golden color.
  4. Once the butter has melted, add the cream carefully. It will splatter a bit as well. Stir the mixture then let boil for 3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in the salt, and let completely cool before you pour it into glass jars.
  6. Store in the refrigerator and warm up slightly to drizzle or use for desserts like cakes, cookies, icecreams, pies, pancakes or even fill chocolates !

Store in the refrigerator for upto 1 week
