ABOUT milk powder gulabjamun RECIPE

Gulabjamuns are my favourite sweet since childhood. Milk powder gulabjamun are easy to make and equally yummy to eat.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. for the syrup
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 1 1/2 cup water
  4. 2-3 cardamom pods
  5. 2-3 drops lemon juice
  6. For the gulabjamun
  7. 1/2 cup milk powder
  8. 1/8 tsp baking soda
  9. 1 tsp flour
  10. 1 tbsp ghee
  11. 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. First to make the syrup take sugar and water in a pan and let it come to boil.
  2. Add cardamom pods and lemon juice and make a half string syrup on medium flame.
  3. For the gulabjamun, take milk powder, flour and baking soda in a bowl and mix well.
  4. Add ghee and mix well .
  5. Add milk and bring the dough together without over kneading, add more milk if required.
  6. Grease your hands with oil and make small balls with the dough.
  7. Deep fry these balls on medium flame till golden brown from all sides.
  8. Soak the jamuns in warm syrup for at least 2-3 hours so that sugar is soaked till inside.
  9. Serve hot or cold, as you prefer.
