About Hyderabadi Shahi Tukda with milkmaid Rabri Recipe

It is a divine dessert. It is also called double ka meetha. I really like it. You can serve it as a dessert after every meal.

Hyderabadi Shahi Tukda with milkmaid Rabri

Ingredients to make Hyderabadi Shahi Tukda with milkmaid Rabri

  • for rabdi:
  • 3 cup full cream milk
  • Milkmaid 5 tablespoon
  • Green caradamom powder 2 teaspoon
  • sugar 5 tablespoon or to taste
  • chopped almonds 2 tablespoon
  • Rose water 2 tablespoon
  • For shahi tukda:
  • Bread slices 6
  • sugar 1 cup
  • water 1 cup
  • lemon juice 1 teaspoon
  • Caradamom powder 2 teaspoon
  • ghee 200 gm
  • For Garnishing:
  • Chopped strawberry 4
  • mint leaves

How to make Hyderabadi Shahi Tukda with milkmaid Rabri

  1. For making rabdi add milk to a pan and let it boil. Add caradamom powder..
  2. Add milkmaid and stir constantly. Till it starts creamy. Add sugar and almonds..
  3. Boil it on low flame and stir constantly till it starts leaving pan. Your rabdi is ready. Add rose water.
  4. For making sugar syrup add water and sugar and let it boil. Add caradamom powder and boil for 5 minutes.
  5. Add lemon juice. Boil till syrup becomes of one string consistency.
  6. Now for making shahi tukda cut the bread slices into triangles.
  7. Heat ghee in a pan. When it is hot fry triangles in it from both sides.
  8. And add to sugar syrup for 2 mintues. And remove in another plate.
  9. Now set these in serving dish and drizzle rabdi over these and garnish with strawberry and mint leaves. Your shahi tukda with rabdi is ready to serve.

My Tip:

You can add saffron strands also. Dip tukda in sugar Syrup only for 2 minutes.
