About Capsicum masala. Recipe

A curry for chapathi & poori.

Capsicum masala.

Ingredients to make Capsicum masala.

  • capsicum 1 big cut it to square pieces.
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • onion 1 chopped into square pieces.
  • green chillies 2 chopped
  • curry leaves a few
  • tomato 1 big pureed
  • ginger Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  • The masalas to add to the gravy.
  • chilli powder 1/2 tsp or according to taste
  • coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala 2 pinch.
  • salt
  • Grind to a fine paste
  • cashew nuts 5
  • Grated coconut 1 to 1 1/2 tbsp
  • To Garnish
  • coriander leaves a few

How to make Capsicum masala.

  1. Heat oil in a pan.add mustard seeds. When it splutter, add ginger garlic paste. Fry.
  2. Then add onion & green chillies. Fry well.
  3. Add tomato puree, along with all Masalas. Fry till oil separates.
  4. Next add capsicum , ground coconut & cashew paste with 1 cup of water.
  5. Cover & cook till capsicum is well cooked & gravy is semi thick.
  6. Add coriander leaves. Stir well.
  7. Serve hot with chapathi or poori.
