Methi leaves chutney

Ingredients to make Methi leaves chutney

  • methi leaves - 1 bunch
  • oil - 3 tbsp
  • Gram dhal - 1 tbsp
  • Urad dhal - 1 tbsp
  • hing - ouater tsp
  • Dhaniya seeds - 1 tsp
  • cumin - 1 tsp
  • red chilli - 3 to 4
  • Pearl onion - 20 number
  • garlic - 10 cloves
  • ginger - 1 inch
  • 1 big tomato - 1
  • salt - required

How to make Methi leaves chutney

  1. Remove methi leaves from stem wash well and make it ready.
  2. Heat a pan and add oil. When it is hot add gram dhal,urad dhal followed by the hing, dhaniya seeds,Cumin and red chillies and saute till the dhal turns brown in color.
  3. Add the onion's,Garlic,Ginger and saute till the onion's are nicely browned. Add chopped tomato and saute till the tomatoes are mashly.
  4. And add coconut and salt and saute for a minute. Add the methi leaves and fry them till them will off.
  5. Set a side to cool.
  6. Add little water. And blend every thing well till smooth.
  7. Serve with idly, dosa or rice.

My Tip:

Methi leaves should wash nicely.
