Sooji halwa is a classic indian sweets made with rava,ghee and dry fruits.

Rava Sheera / Sooji Halwa

Ingredients to make Rava Sheera / Sooji Halwa

  • Rava / sooji - 1/4 Cup
  • ghee -1/4 Cup + 1 tbsp
  • Milk -1 cup
  • sugar -1/2 cup
  • cardamom Powder -1/8 tsp
  • cashew -8
  • raisins -2 tsp

How to make Rava Sheera / Sooji Halwa

  1. *In a kadai heat the ghee roast the cashew and raisins until golden brown,keep it aside.In another flame boil the milk.
  2. *In a same kadai add the rava roast it until it changes the colour into pale in low flame,take care not to burnt the rava.Now slowly add the milk ,be careful it may be spilt and burnt your skin.
  3. *Mix well without any lumps,once the rava is cooked add the sugar.Once the sugar dissolves its too thin,dont panic.Mix well in low flame.
  4. *Once it starts to thick switch off the flame,add the roasted cashew and raisins,cardamom powder and remaining 1 tbsp ghee.Mix well and Serve it hot or warm!!
