Paneer cooked in rich creamy and spicy gravy

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer - 250gm
  2. Butter - 1 tbsp
  3. Oil - 1 tbsp
  4. Tomato - 2
  5. Onion - 1(big)
  6. Green chilli - 2
  7. Garlic - 2 clove
  8. Kasoori methi - 1 tbsp
  9. Pepper powder - 1 tsp
  10. Tomato ketchup - 1 tbsp
  11. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  12. Kashmiri Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  13. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  14. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  15. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  16. Almond+ Cashew paste - 1 tbsp
  17. Fresh cream - 1 tbsp
  18. Chopped coriander leaves - 1/2 tbsp
  19. Grated paneer - 1/2 tbsp
  20. Salt - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Cut paneer in cubes and fry in oil till golden in colour.
  2. Drain and keep aside.
  3. In the same oil add butter and kasuri methi.
  4. Fry for 2 seconds.
  5. Add 1 big onion cut in cubes and fry for 2 minutes.
  6. Drain and keep in a plate.
  7. Make a paste from tomatoes, green chillies, garlic cloves, ketchup and pepper.
  8. In the remaining oil of fried onions add cumin seeds.
  9. Add tomato paste, garam Masala powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt.
  10. Mix all masalas well and add little water.
  11. Cook for 2 minutes and add cashew almond paste.
  12. Add fried paneer pieces and bring it to boil.
  13. When gravy starts thicken add fried onions.
  14. Add fresh cream.
  15. Remove from fire and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and grated paneer.
  16. Kashmiri paneer masala is ready.
