Chicken cooked with main ingredient curd

Dahi Murgh

Ingredients to make Dahi Murgh

  • chicken -1 kg
  • onion - 4
  • tomato - 2
  • curd - 1 cup
  • ginger Garlic paste - 1/2 cup
  • chicken masala - 2 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder - 1 and 1/2 tsp
  • salt - As required
  • ghee - 6 tbsp

How to make Dahi Murgh

  1. First clean the chicken pieces.
  2. Marinate chicken pieces with half of Curd, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, Chicken masala and salt for 1 and 1/2hours.
  3. Heat ghee in pan.
  4. Put chopped onions in it and fry till golden brown in colour.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and saute.
  6. Add chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Add marinated Chicken with masala.
  8. Cook on high flame till oil starts separate.
  9. Add a little water and remaining curd.
  10. Cook on low flame till Chicken pieces tender.
  11. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  12. Serve with pulav or naan.
