Ingredients to make phirni

  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1/2 cup almond
  • 200 gm milkmaid
  • 5 cups milk
  • saffron for decoration
  • green cardamom powder 1/4 spoon
  • pistachios for decoration
  • sugar 1/4 cup

How to make phirni

  1. wash rice and almonds soak with 2 cups of water
  2. Drain water and grind with some milk likes one grade less than smooth just a tiny bit grainy
  3. Boil 5 cups milk and add the rice and almond paste and a few strands of saffron’s
  4. cook stirring frequently till mix just begins to cost back of spoon
  5. then add milkmaid and sugar give some time for cook and add green cardamom
  6. now phirni ready for serve if you want kept in refrigerator and decorate with some saffron and pistachios
