ABOUT Paneer kundan kaliya curry RECIPE

It is traditional Hyderabadi receipe comes from Awadhi cuisine. Made with simple spices and mild flavour. Cooked in yogurt with rose petals and whole spices gives you a unique taste.Serve it with chapati or rice.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Paneer 200 gm
  2. Onion paste of 2 onions
  3. Tomato puree of 2 tomato
  4. Cloves 4
  5. Cinnamon sticks 2
  6. Green caradamom 3
  7. Coriander seeds 1 teaspoon
  8. Bay leaves 2
  9. Yogurt 4 tablespoon
  10. Cream 50 gm
  11. Rose petals 2 tablespoon dried
  12. Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  13. Kashmiri red chili powder 2 tablespoon
  14. Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Ghee 5 tablespoon
  17. Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Cut the paneer into cubes and sprinkle 1 teaspoon red chili powder and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder. Mix well and set aside for 5 minutes.
  2. Now heat ghee and fry these paneer cubes . Remove these in another bowl.
  3. Now in this ghee add coriander seeds, cloves, green caradamom, and crushed bay leaves. Add onion paste and saute it till ghee seprates.
  4. Add tomato puree and crushed rose petals. Saute it till masala leaves ghee.
  5. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder , coriander powder, salt. Mix well add yogurt and cream. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add 1 cup water and garam masala. Cook for 5 minutes. Add paneer cubes garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. Serve with chapati or rice. Your paneer kundan kaliya is ready to serve.
