Veg Egg Curry

Ingredients to make Veg Egg Curry

  • For egg preparation
  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • 100 gm paneer
  • salt to taste
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tspn garam masala powder
  • 1 cup hot water
  • For gravy
  • 1 bay leaves
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tomato
  • 1 tspn garlic ginger paste
  • 1/4 jeera
  • 1/2 tspn red chilli powder
  • 1/2 turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tspn dhania powder
  • 1/2 tspn garam masala powder
  • 1/4 cup of coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 2 -3 tbspn oil
  • Pinch of hing

How to make Veg Egg Curry

  1. In a pan place rice flour,salt and mix it with hand.Start adding hot water little by little to form soft dough
  2. Crumble the paneer and add pinch or more salt, turmeric powder,garam masala powder
  3. form dough of paneer and make inner round yellow ball (egg yolk) of egg
  4. make small roti of ruce dough and place the ball and fold the roti like choclate wrapper and cut the remaining sides to form egg . Dont make rounfd ball else inside egg yolk will spread
  5. now in steamer boil water and apply some oil on the plate and place the egg ball in it and steam for 10 mins at medium flame
  6. For gravy preparation Make paste of 1 and 1/2 onions and tomato and finely chop remaining onion and tomato.Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaf, jeera, pinch of hing.Add chopped onion let it become light brown then add onion ginger garlic paste
  7. once the paste become golden brown..add chopped tomato and tomato paste, cook it till it leaves oil
  8. Add turmeric powder, garam masala powder,dhania powder,red chilli powder,salt to taste with little water and let masala to cook till it leaves oil.
  9. Add more water for proper consistency ( neither thick nor thin).once gravy start boiling add the egg and cook for 3-4 mins till bubble arises and switch off the stove garnish with coriander leaves

My Tip:

steam the egg immediately once made else it will get dry and cracks will develop in egg

Nice one. I have made this before so some suggestions dear. You can add little cheese in Paneer so it will not scatter.. Also mix little corn flour with Rice flour. @ Vaibhav Singh.

Seems funny by name but just opposite in taste...tried it but paneer balls used to get scattered
