  1. Mutton...1kg
  2. Potato...5
  3. Onion...3
  4. Tomato...2
  5. Ginger paste...2tspn
  6. Garlic....15
  7. Green chilli...5 or more
  8. Meat masala...2tspn
  9. Kashmiri red chilli powder...5tspn
  10. turmeric powder...1tspn
  11. Cumin powder...1/2tspn
  12. Garam masala..1tspn
  13. Star anise...1
  14. Cloves...5
  15. Cinnamon stick...1"
  16. Bay leaves...2
  17. Black cardamom...1
  18. Dry red chilli...2

Instructions

  1. Marinate the mutton with salt, red chilli & turmeric powder for at least 2 hours.
  2. Boil some potatoes.
  3. Heat oil, add bay leaves, star anise, cinnamon stick, dry red chilli, cloves & chopped garlic.
  4. Add chopped onion, tomato & ginger paste.Saute it for a while & make a soft mixture.
  5. Make it cool for sometime & make a paste of it.
  6. Heat oil again & fry the mixture for few minutes.
  7. Add marinated mutton & all spices.Add some hot water.Cover it & cook it for minimum 30 minutes.
  8. Add boiled & fried potatoes now.Add garam masala.
  9. Adjust salt & gravy & switch off the flame.
  10. Its ready now.Serve it with hot long grain rice.
