Oats Nut Crispbread

Ingredients to make Oats Nut Crispbread

  • 160 gm Whole wheat flour
  • 115 g Oats {1 cup}
  • 40g Walnuts roughly chopped
  • 20g white Sesame seeds
  • 20g black Sesame seeds
  • 1 ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 ½ tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp/30 ml extra virgin Olive oil
  •  cup/175 ml Water {approx}

How to make Oats Nut Crispbread

  1. Take two cookie sheets and line with parchment paper. Preheat your oven at 180C.
  2. Add flour, oats, salt, garlic powder and walnuts in a food processor bowl and pulse for few seconds until walnuts are chopped. Now add seeds and oil, pulse to mix.
  3. Take this into a large bowl and add ½ cup of water and knead to form smooth firm dough. Add more water if required.
  4. Leave the dough covered to rest for 15 minutes after kneading for 2-3 minutes on the counter.
  5. Dust the rolling surface with flour and roll out and cut into desired shapes using fluted pastry cutter/pizza cutter/knife.
  6. Gently place on prepared baking sheets and bake for 15-18 minutes or till lightly coloured and golden brown on the edges.
  7. Upon cooling store in an air tight container in a cool place and serve with dips on a cheese board etc.
