About Caramel Custard Recipe

Caramel flan or pudding is a caramel dessert with a layer of soft caramel on top.It is a dark orange confectionary product.This is a easy making pudding made especially well by parsis,mangaloreans and Anglo Indians.

Ingredients to make Caramel Custard

  • egg-3
  • Milk-500 milliliter
  • sugar-50 grams
  • Vanilla essence-1 tablespoon
  • sugar for caramel-20 grams

How to make Caramel Custard

  1. Beat the eggs and mix it with milk.Filter the mixture to avoid the egg threads.
  2. Add vanilla essence and sugar to it.
  3. For Caramel:In a steel vessel,pour sugar and heat it on medium flame.Once sugar starts melting,spread it all over the vessel.
  4. Wait till sugar turns little brownish colour.Remove the vessel from stove.prepare the water bath on a baking tray and place a mould over that.
  5. Now in the heart mould pour the caramel,then add your egg mixture.Preheat the oven for 140 degree Celsius for 180 degree Celsius and bake it for 25 to 30 minutes.Serve cool.
