It is a cross between Sherbat and Ice-cream. The recipe authentically belongs to Tasaka family, Japan and is still a famous stop for tourists. The recipe is typically made from guava juice. I have done a little changes to make it more interesting..

Guri Guri - A Hawaiian ice cream

Ingredients to make Guri Guri - A Hawaiian ice cream

  • 1 can milkmaid
  • 1 cup cherry juice
  • 2 cups guava juice
  • 1 can 7up
  • Sprinkle of paprika powder
  • Chopped fresh cherries and grapes
  • mint leaves for garnish

How to make Guri Guri - A Hawaiian ice cream

  1. In a large mixing bowl add in the juices and milkmaid condensed milk.
  2. Mix well
  3. Now gradually pour 7up in the mixture
  4. The mixture shall fizz so be careful
  5. Immediately freeze the mixture in a covered bowl.
  6. Take it out after 1-2 hours and beat it vigorously, making sure to beat all the ice crystals.
  7. Freeze again.
  8. Repeat the process atleast twice.
  9. In the last time divide it in the serving bowls and freeze again atleast for 7-8 hours.
  10. Serve with chopped fruits, sprinkle of paprika powder and garnish with mint leaves.
