Beans Paruppu Usili

Ingredients to make Beans Paruppu Usili

  • Green Beans 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup toovar dal and channa dal, soaked and grounded coarsely along with 3 red chilles
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Asfoetida a pinch
  • salt to taste
  • 3 red chillies
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • curry leaves and coarinder leaves for garnishing

How to make Beans Paruppu Usili

  1. Soak the dals for 1 hour, then coarse grind along with red chillies and a little salt.
  2. Take a pan add 2 tbsp of cooking oil to heat, then add the mustard seeds and asfoetida along with the beans.
  3. Fry for some time then add the dal mixture along with turmeric and salt as per taste. Fry till the dal and beans are separate.
  4. Serve it hot!

My Tip:

You can steam the dal mixture in the steamer to reduce the oil.
