About Fish curry Recipe

Fish cooked in Mustard gravy

Fish curry

Ingredients to make Fish curry

  • Fish - 1/2 kg
  • onion paste - 1 tbsp
  • garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  • mustard seeds paste - 1 tbsp
  • turmeric powder - 2 tsp
  • red chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - As required
  • mustard oil - 4 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  • tomato - 2

How to make Fish curry

  1. Marinade fish pieces in garlic paste, turmeric, chilli powder and salt for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp Mustard oil in a pan.
  3. Deep Fry fish pieces till golden brown.
  4. Heat remaining mustard oil in another pan.
  5. Splatter fenugreek seeds.
  6. Add onion and garlic paste and saute.
  7. Add mustard seed paste.
  8. Add turmeric and chilli powder and mix well.
  9. Add salt and chopped tomatoes.
  10. Cook on high flame till oil starts separate.
  11. Add water and lower the flame for sometimes.
  12. When gravy is done add fried fish pieces and Cook for 3 to 4 minutes..
  13. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  14. Serve with plain Rice.
