About Bhaji in gravy ( pao bhaji wali bhaji) Recipe

Yummy spicy bhaji with many vegetables, to be served with some toasted pav or roti.

Bhaji in gravy ( pao bhaji wali bhaji)

Ingredients to make Bhaji in gravy ( pao bhaji wali bhaji)

  • Boiled 3-4 potatoes
  • 1 green capsicum
  • 4 onions [chopped]
  • 4 big tomatoes [chopped]
  • peas - 1/4 th cup
  • coriander leaves [handful]
  • salt
  • pao bhaji masala [ 2 tbsp]
  • turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • ( add red chilly powder only if you like very spicy) - 1 tsp
  • coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • oil
  • butter
  • 1 lemon

How to make Bhaji in gravy ( pao bhaji wali bhaji)

  1. Boil potatoes in pressure cooker and mash them.
  2. In fry pan, put 2 table spoon oil, and add chopped onions.
  3. When onions are little golden brown, then add haldi, dhaniya powder, salt and bhaji masala. Mix it and add capsicum and chopped tomatoes.
  4. Cover the fry pan and and wait for 5 mins. Now add mashed potatoes, peas and 1 glass of water.
  5. Again cover the lid of pan and let it boil for 10 mins. And keep the flame on sim.
  6. Check the bhaji as it should be thick gravy. Then add chopped fresh coriander leaves and 1 lemon.
  7. Mix it , put butter and serve it hot with pao.

My Tip:

You can add cauliflower, red carrot also, if your kids love bhaji and otherwise if they don't eat vegetables.
