About Tridali dal Recipe

This is a recipe of a delicious dal, made with 3 types of pulses, to be served with rice or roti.

Tridali dal

Ingredients to make Tridali dal

  • 1 cup moong dal
  • 1 cup tur dal
  • 1 cup udad dal
  • tomato [chopped] - 2
  • cumin seeds - 2 tsp
  • garlic [chopped] - 4 cloves
  • chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • salt
  • coriander leaves [handful]
  • Refined oil/ ghee

How to make Tridali dal

  1. Heat a pressure cooker pan with some oil. Add the cumin seeds, garlic cloves. Once they smell, add the chopped tomatoes.
  2. Now add the salt and spices. Cook for few minutes and then add water.
  3. Add the soaked dals into the cooker pan. Close the lid and cook until 3-4 whistles are attained.
  4. Open the lid, stir and garnish with coriander leaves. serve hot.
