my mom always make this which I love to have...now my daughter likes it so much... it's a very old traditional snack recipe which everyone will love to have

Elo jhelo

Ingredients to make Elo jhelo

  • all purpose flour 1 cup
  • oil 1 tablespoon
  • oil for frying
  • sugar 1 1/2 cup

How to make Elo jhelo

  1. Take one cup of maida.. add 1 tablespoons of oil
  2. Add salt and mix well
  3. Gradually add water to make a tight dough
  4. Divide into small balls
  5. Roll out in a rolling pin
  6. Now cut it lengthwise leaving the sides..now roll it
  7. Deep fry them
  8. Till golden colour
  9. Take them out
  10. Make sugar syrup by using 1 cup of water and 1 1/2 cup sugar
  11. Bring it to boil
  12. Check consistency
  13. It's done hen reaches one string consistency
  14. Add the elo jhelo to the sugar syrup and mix well
