About Kadappa Recipe

This is an easy recipe of a one pot meal, a perfect tiffin or lunch recipe.

Kadappa

Ingredients to make Kadappa

  • oil : 2 tsp
  • salt
  • onion : 1
  • tomato : 1
  • turmeric powder : ½ tsp
  • moong dal : 1 cup
  • Grated ginger : 1 inch
  • Grated garlic : 4
  • curry leaves
  • mustard seeds
  • For coconut paste
  • Grated coconut : 4 tsp
  • green chillies : 2
  • cumin seeds : ½ tsp

How to make Kadappa

  1. Pressure cook the moongdal and keep aside
  2. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, curry leaves, onion and saute it
  3. Add tomato, ginger, garlic and saute it
  4. Add salt, turmeric powder, required water, cooked moong dal and cook for 5 mins
  5. Add coconut paste and cook for 2 min and switch off the flame
