Narangi ka meetha achar

Ingredients to make Narangi ka meetha achar

  • 20 Narangi (china oranges)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How to make Narangi ka meetha achar

  1. Wash and wipe china oranges and cut in half. Remove the seeds.
  2. Add salt and keep for 1 day. It will release its juice.
  3. Heat a pan and cook china oranges with its juice and sugar for 5 to 10 minutes until they are tender. Add red chilli powder.
  4. Cool and store in an air tight container in the fridge.

My Tip:

While you can eat it immediately, it will taste better with some time to sit and let the flavors develop. Properly stored pickle will keep for 2-3 months. You can add garam masala powder also at the end.
