Ingredients to make Methi Muthiya in Appe Pan

  • Methi, roughly chopped 1 cup
  • Sooji / Rava 2 tbsp
  • Besan / Gram Flour 1 cup
  • Curd 2 tbsp
  • Cumin (Jeera) 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder (Dhania) 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric (Haldi) 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilly Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Eno a pinch (Optional)
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water as needed
  • oil if required

How to make Methi Muthiya in Appe Pan

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients except oil.
  2. Add water slowly to make a smooth batter of desired consistency.
  3. Heat the Appe Patra. Parallely add a pinch of eno to the mixture and mix gently.
  4. Add a drop of oil in each of the appe patra cavity.
  5. Add a tbsp of Mixture in each cavity. Cover and cook for a minute.
  6. Methi gets brown very fast so flip quickly and cook for another one minute.
  7. Cook till evenly brown.
  8. Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.
My Tip: Flip every minute else the Muthiya will get charred.
