ABOUT Homemade Salsa RECIPE

A unique flavourful and fresh salsa made with simple ingredients available in every household kitchen. This salsa served with nachos, chips, canapés or Monaco biscuits makes it a perfect instant starter hit for people of all ages.

Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. 4 tomatoes, deseeded and diced
  2. 1 onion, finely diced
  3. 1 cucumber, finely diced
  4. 1 small piece of red, yellow and green bell peppers, diced
  5. Few basil leaves, washed and chopped finely
  6. 4-5 cloves of garlic, chopped finely
  7. 1/2 cup cheese, grated finely (I used 1 cube amul processed cheese, 1 small piece of amul mozzarella, and 1 small piece of Britannia cheddar cheese)
  8. salt and black pepper as per taste
  9. 1-2 tsp Olive oil
  10. 1 tsp vinegar
  11. 2 tbsp honey
  12. 1/2 tsp Oregano seasoning
  13. 1/4 tsp Chilli flakes
  14. 1-2 tsp ready made salsa dip (optional)
  15. 1 tsp Nando's peri peri sauce (optional)
  16. 1 tsp red chilli sauce

Instructions

  1. Toss everything well except salt and pepper in a wide opened bowl to mix properly. Keep in the refrigerator.
  2. Before serving, add salt and pepper. Serve chilled with chips, nachos or served on top of Monaco biscuits.
  3. For arranging the starter, put some salsa on the Monaco biscuit and top it with bhujia, or serve it on top of toasted garlic bread to make yummy bruschetta.
