About Amla Pickle Recipe

Amla pickle is the best way to preserve amla and include it in our daily diet. Besides of being full of vitamin C and being great benefit for for hair and skin it provides a large number of other nutrients and helps in diabetes control and improved digestion.

Amla Pickle

Ingredients to make Amla Pickle

  • 250 gms amla
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds powder
  • 1/2 tsp kaloungi
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder (increase as per taste)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp mustard oil

How to make Amla Pickle

  1. Boil amla with 1 cup water. As they soften discard water and pat dry.
  2. Deseed the amla slices and keep aside.
  3. Then add all other spices and oil. Toss together.
  4. Fill in a sterilized glass jars and keep it in sunlight for 2 to 3 days.
  5. Your amla pickle is ready and can be stored for one month easily.

My Tip:

Dry amla in the sun or leave overnight to dry after deseeding before adding the spices.
