Whole Wheat Sweet Vattayappam

Ingredients to make Whole Wheat Sweet Vattayappam

  • Whole wheat 1 cup
  • Grated coconut 1 1/2 cup
  • salt a pinch
  • water for thick batter
  • jaggery powder 3/4 cup

How to make Whole Wheat Sweet Vattayappam

  1. 5 HOURS SOAKED WHOLE WHEAT
  2. ADD GRATED COCONUT AND SALT TO TASTE, GRIND SMOOTHLY BY ADDING WATER
  3. AFTER SMOOTH, ADD JAGGERY POWDER, GRATED COCONUT, RUN THE MIXIE FOR FEW SECONDS TO MIX UP WELL
  4. TRANSFER INTO A BOWL, ALLOW REST FOR 4 HOURS
  5. HEAT WATER IN IDLI STEAMER
  6. POUR INTO A OIL APPLIED PLATE, CLOSE AND COOK FOR 20 MINUTES IN MEDIUM FLAME
  7. CHECK THE COOKNESS, ALLOW IT TO COOL, CUT IN DESIRED SHAPE AND SERVE
