  • Dosa rice 2 cup
  • fenugreek 1/4 cup
  • urad dal 1 cup
  • green gram dal 1/2 cup
  • Gram dal 1/2 cup
  • water
  • salt to taste
  • Cooking oil 1/2 cup

How to make Grandma's style Masala Dosa

  1. 2 CUP DOSA RICE, 1/4 CUP FENUGREEK
  2. URAD DAL 1 CUP, GREEN GRAM DAL 1/2 CUP, GRAM DAL 1/2 CUP
  3. CLEANLY WASH AND SOAK FOR 5 HOURS
  4. STRAIN THE WATER, ADD IN MIXIE JAR
  5. ADD SALT, WATER AND GRIND SMOOTHLY BY ADDING SUFFICIENT WATER
  6. TRANSFER INTO A VESSEL, MIX, IF NEEDED ADD WATER, CLOSE AND STORE IN DARK FOR FERMENTATION OVERNIGHT
  7. CHECK THE FERMENTATION MORNING, MIX WELL
  8. POUR LADLEFUL OF BATTER ON HEATED TAVA, SPREAD THINLY, COVER AND COOK FOR 2 MINUTES IN MEDIUM FLAME
  9. OPEN THE LID, SPRINKLE OIL OR GHEE
  10. REMOVE, FOLD AND SERVE IN HOT
