Ingredients to make Watermelon rind vada

  • Grated watermelon rind 2 cup
  • Rice flour 1 cup
  • Gram flour 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • Ajwain 1/2 tsp
  • fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
  • chilli powder 1 tsp (optional)
  • Cooking oil for deep fry

How to make Watermelon rind vada

  1. AFTER TAKING RED FLESH, REMOVE THE GREEN PART OF WATERMELON RIND, TAKE ONLY WHITE PART
  2. GRATE IT
  3. COMBINE SIEVED RICE FLOUR AND GRAM FLOUR
  4. SALT, AJWAIN SEEDS AND FENNEL SEEDS
  5. ADD GRATED RIND
  6. MIX AND KNEAD WELL
  7. MAKE SMALL BALLS AND FLATTEN THEM
  8. DEEP FRY IN HOT OIL, IN MEDIUM-LOW FLAME
  9. FLIP AND FRY TILL GOLDEN BROWN
  10. REMOVE ON KITCHEN TOWEL TO REMOVE THE EXCESS OIL
