ABOUT Fish Stew RECIPE

Super delicious when serve with appam,idiyappam and plain rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boneless fish - 300 gm
  2. to marinate fish :-
  3. chilli powder - 1tsp
  4. turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  5. cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
  6. pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  7. ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  8. lemon juice - 2 tsp
  9. salt - to taste
  10. to shallow fry fish - 2 tbsp oil
  11. to make stew we need:-
  12. coconut oil - 2tbsp
  13. mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
  14. green chilli slitted - 4
  15. ginger chopped - 1-2 tsp
  16. garlic cloves chopped - 5
  17. curry leaves few
  18. chopped onion - 100 gm
  19. tomato - 1 (50 gm)
  20. turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  21. coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  22. pepper powder -1/2 tsp
  23. first coconut milk - 1 cup
  24. second & third coconut milk - 2 cups
  25. lemon juice - half lime( or to taste)
  26. fresh cream - 3 tbsp
  27. salt - to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate fish with given ingredients keep aside for half an hour.
  2. Fry it in a shallow fry pan till done.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds,when crackle add curry leaves, slitted green chillies,chopped garlic and ginger, add chopped onion and saute well.
  4. Add turmeric,pepper and coriander powders,stir it.Pour second and third coconut milk, add salt to taste.When it boils add fried fish pieces.
  5. Let it simmer for 5 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes.
  6. Let it boil for 2 minutes.
  7. Add first thick coconut milk and low the flame. Check salt to taste.
  8. Finally add thick fresh cream.Mix well. It gives an awesome taste. Ready.Try it.
  9. Serve and enjoy.
