Ingredients to make Mix veg sambar

  • Toor dal : 1 cup
  • Small onion 5
  • garlic 10
  • tomato 1
  • Beans 4
  • Cluster beans 3
  • Broad beans 3
  • Drumstick 1
  • Brinjal 1
  • carrot 1/2
  • potato 1
  • Green chilli 1
  • chilli powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • cumin seeds : ½ tsp
  • curry leaves Salt
  • mustard seeds : ½ tsp
  • oil
  • turmeric Powder : ½ tsp
  • tamarind : small size

How to make Mix veg sambar

  1. Pressure cook the toor dal, carrot and potato,beans, cluster beans, broad beans for 10-15 min over medium flame and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, saute small onion, drumstick, tomato, garlic, brinjal for 5 min.
  3. Add cooked dal and veg with water, mix well and cook for 5 min
  4. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, tamarind water, salt and cook for 5 min.
  5. Now the sambar is ready.
  6. Heat oil in another pan, saute Mustard seeds, curry leaves for 2 mins and add it to the sambar.
