About Baked curd Recipe

Baked curd or bhapa doi is a creamy, sweet, steamed Bengali dessert, served chilled.

Ingredients to make Baked curd

  • Hung curd 1/2 cup
  • Milk powder 1 cup
  • Fresh cream /malai 1/2 cup
  • For garnishing
  • Soaked kesar
  • Almond and pistachio

How to make Baked curd

  1. MIX TOGETHER 1/2 CUP HUNG CURD AND 1 CUP MILK POWDER (SWEETENED).
  2. ADD 1/2 CUP OF FRESH CREAM / MALAI .
  3. MIX WELL TO BE A SMOOTH BATTER. FILL IN BAKING MOULDS.
  4. TAKE HALF CUP OF WATER IN A BAKING POT AND PLACE BATTER FILLED MOULDS IN IT.
  5. PLACE THE POT IN PREHEATED OVEN AND BAKE FOR 15 MINUTES AT 180 DEGREE.
  6. TAKE OUT OF OVEN.
  7. GIVE A TOOTHPICK TEST TO GET COOKED PROPERLY OR NOT.
  8. CHILL IN REFRIGERATOR FOR 2-3 HOURS.
  9. GARNISH WITH SOAKED KESAR AND ALMOND PISTACHIO.
  10. SERVE CHILLED.
