About Diwani Handi Recipe

Diwani Handi, a delicious and tasty side dish made with loads of veggies to be served with some roti on the side.

Diwani Handi

Ingredients to make Diwani Handi

  • Ing: 3 potatoes (cut into 1/2 inch)
  • carrot 3 medium
  • Garam masala 1/2 Tbs.
  • yogurt 2 Tbs,
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
  • oil - 3 Tbs
  • red chilli 1 tbs
  • Green chilli 2-3
  • coriander leaves
  • Fresh fenugreek leaves 1 medium bunch
  • 1 tsp garlic (lehsun) paste
  • 1/2 Cup Green peas
  • 10 to 12 french beans
  • Drumstick 1 cup
  • Small Sized Brinjals 4 (slit into 2 part)
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • salt

How to make Diwani Handi

  1. Clean wash tomato and cut into 1/2 inch cube, carrot cut into the cube, brinjal cut into 2 part
  2. cut onion, wash green peas, clean fenugreek (take only leaves), dessed green chilli, wash and cut coriander
  3. heat oil, add onion and saute until golden brown add green chili, ginger garlic paste and saute 1 minute.
  4. Add red chili, turmeric, salt and mix add yogurt and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  5. add vegetable ( don't add fenugreek leaves)
  6. Cover until cook.
  7. After cooking add fenugreek leaves, coriander, garam masala powder and cook for 1 minutes
  8. Serve hot with chapati.
