Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad dal soaked 1 1/2 cup
  2. Curd 2 cups
  3. Salt as per taste
  4. Baking soda a pinch
  5. Bhuna jeera powder 1 tsp
  6. Chillie powder 1 tsp
  7. Dry Red chilli 2
  8. Curry leaves 15 leaves
  9. Mustard seeds 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Soak urad dal for around 4 hours and grind it.
  2. In it add 1/4 tsp salt and a pinch of baking soda. Mix it. Keep aside for 3 minutes.
  3. Take water in a big bowl for soaking vada and add salt 1 tsp in it.
  4. Heat oil for frying. Make vada and soak it in water.
  5. Let it soak until it becomes soft.
  6. Squeeze the water and put in a bowl containing dahi 2 cup with 1 1/2 cup water.
  7. In a pan heat oil, add rai, curry leaves and dry red chillies.
  8. When it start spluttering put over that dahi water mix.
  9. Sprinkle black salt, bhuna jeera powder and red chilli powder. Your dahi vada is ready.
