About Creamy Mint Chicken Recipe

This cream and yogurt cashew based gravy is with no onions at all and flavoured with tasty kitchen spices. Goes well with pulav or any Indian bread like naan, roti, phulkas or just plain steamed rice. Lastly, The minty flavour adds to the freshness of flavours.

Creamy Mint Chicken

Ingredients to make Creamy Mint Chicken

  • chicken - 1 kg
  • oil - 4 tbsps
  • mint leaves - a fistfull
  • ginger garlic green chilli paste - 2 tbsps
  • Fresh cream - 200 ml
  • cashew - 10 to 12
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
  • cumin powder - 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • yogurt-300 ml
  • lemon - 1

How to make Creamy Mint Chicken

  1. 10 TO 12 CASHEWS SOAKED IN WATER. GRIND 1/2 INCH GINGER 6 TO 7 GARLIC CLOVES 2 GREEN CHILLIES
  2. GRIND CASHEWS AND 200 ML FRESH CREAM
  3. READY CASHEW PASTE
  4. ADD 4 TBSP OIL TO A DEEP SAUCE PAN. ADD THE WASHED CHICKEN PIECES
  5. STIR FRY FOR 2 MINUTES THEN ADD THE GINGER GARLIC GREEN CHILLI PASTE
  6. WHISK 300 ML CURD AND KEEP ASIDE
  7. ADD TO THE CHICKEN
  8. ADD 1 TBSP GARAM MASALA, 1 TBSP CUMIN POWDER, 1 TSP PEPPER POWDER
  9. ADD SALT
  10. SQUEEZE JUICE OF A LEMON
  11. ADD 1 TBSP RED CHILLI POWDER,1/2 TSP TURMERIC. COVER AND SIMMER FOR 12 TO 15 MINUTES
  12. NOW ADD THE CASHEW CREAM PASTE. STIR GENTLY
  13. TEAR AND ADD A FISTFULL OF MINT LEAVES
  14. STIR
  15. COVET AND SIMMER FOR A MINUTE
  16. POUR IN A SERVING DISH. GARNISH WITH MORE THINLY CHOPPED FRESH MINT LEAVES
