Rasgulla

Ingredients to make Rasgulla

  • milk 1 lt
  • sugar 200 GMs
  • lemon 1-2
  • suji 1 tablespoons
  • saffron strands

How to make Rasgulla

  1. Bring the milk to boil
  2. Squeeze a lemon to it
  3. Milk will curdle
  4. Strain in a strainer
  5. Tie it in a cloth to remove excess water for 20 mins
  6. Start kneading
  7. Add 1 tablespoons of suji
  8. Knead well
  9. Till smooth and creamy
  10. Now make small balls out of it
  11. Like this
  12. Make sugar syrup using 500 ml water and 100 GMs sugar
  13. Put the chhena balls into the sugar syrup
  14. Cover the lid and pressure cook till one whistle
  15. Now the balls becomes double in size
  16. Make another sugar syrup sing 500 ml of water and 100 GMs of sugar
  17. Add the cooked chhena balls into the sugar syrup discarding the old sugar syrup
  18. Now soft spongy rasgulla is ready..top with saffron
